Hi, I’m Laine! I’m a writer and editor at Scholastic Classroom Magazines. I think of articles and stories for children’s magazines. Sometimes I write the stories myself, and sometimes I give authors feedback on their stories. I also work with art directors to make the stories look beautiful.

Right now, I’m supervising Scholastic’s

Storyworks magazines. Kids read these magazines in their classrooms. I am so proud to be involved with them.

I grew up in Maryland. Back then, I liked to draw, read books about dogs, and play with my friends. Sometimes my friends and I got into arguments. That is one of the inspirations for my new series, Pine School Pals.

 

Now I live in New York with my family. I like to read fiction, go to movies, and listen to podcasts about history.
